HEC’s hydropower products mainly include: Francis, Kaplan, Bulb, Pumped storage, Pelton and
other types, with cooling methods covering full air-cooled, water-cooled, evaporative
cooling, etc. The product design and manufacturing technologies have reached the
international leading level. The diameter of Francis runner reaches 10.44m, the maximum
single unit capacity is 1000 MW, and it can realize the safe and stable operation of 0-100%
full load; the diameter of Kaplan runner reaches 10.4m, the maximum single unit capacity is
230 MW. The large hydropower generating units produced by HEC account for 1/2 of the total
installed capacity in China, and the hydropower products put into operation are installed in
more than 300 power stations with a total installed capacity of more than 100，000MW.
